I enjoy the whole process of traditional art, especiialy shading, but I do feel I might be able to express myself more freely digitally. At the moment I tend to feel constrained by a piece once it has reached a certain stage. I realise this is affected by a lack of confidence in my ability to improve or recreate lines I have already placed but I do think that digitally being able to make copies as I go will allow me to experiment further. Not to mention of course that if i wanted to work in colour digital would probably be the easiest and best way.
Im a qualified graphic designer so digital software packages like PS and Painter are not alien to me but I still expect it to take a long time before I am able to produce work of a similar standard to what I have now with pencils.
Still, I think it might be fun, so you may see some WIP digital pieces in the next few months.
